Data access

The role of the Dissemination Department is to facilitate access to the 8 major surveys of the LifeObs observatory, the databases of the Common Core of Household Surveys - TCM (INSEE), and older French life-course surveys. The department will also be responsible for promoting these surveys to the general public.

The first objective is to centralise the data and standardise the documentation for these surveys in line with international standards. To achieve this, an inventory of data and documentation will be carried out.

The second objective is to increase the visibility of these surveys among potential users. Actions will be taken with the scientific and academic community and the results will be presented to the general public. The national network of University Data Platforms (PUD) of the PROGEDO Very Large Research Infrastructure, located throughout Metropolitan France within the Maisons des Sciences de l’Homme, will be mobilised.

The third objective is to encourage the use of life-course surveys. For researchers, teacher-researchers, doctoral students and Masters students, these surveys (documentation and data) will be made available mainly via the QUETELET-PROGEDO-DIFF platform of the TGIR PROGEDO.
